Start with the complete data journey

A UK organisation, UK support team or UK-facing website does not establish where a service stores data. Residency needs to be checked for each data type and deployment, including location history, video, user records, logs and backups.

This page is not confirmation that all Fleetly production data is hosted exclusively in the UK. Obtain written confirmation of current regions, service scope and any migration status for your proposed deployment.

Core capabilities

What to consider for your fleet.

Explore the operational requirements and confirm the scope for your selected Fleetly service.

01

Primary processing

Identify where each data category is collected, processed and stored. Separate Fleetly application services from third-party device or camera services.

02

Backups and recovery

Confirm backup locations, replication regions, retention and deletion arrangements. A primary UK region alone does not establish UK-only storage.

03

Access and suppliers

Review where support personnel and subprocessors can access data. Include integrations, diagnostics and customer-initiated exports in the assessment.

04

International transfers

Where relevant, ask which lawful transfer arrangements apply. Residency commitments and transfer safeguards should be documented in your agreement.

A practical approach

Agree the scope. Validate it with your fleet.

Use your vehicles, devices, users and operating scenarios to check the proposed solution before rollout.

Built for operational reality

Turn a residency requirement into a clear specification

Specify whether your requirement concerns storage, processing, remote access or all three. Ask for a current data-flow summary and identify any services or metadata excluded from the requested boundary.

If a UK deployment or regional migration is proposed, distinguish a planned change from a completed, verified state. Confirm timing, affected data and acceptance criteria before committing.

Is all Fleetly data stored in the UK?+

UK-only storage is not confirmed by this page. Ask for the current regions and written residency commitments covering your specific service and data categories.

Does residency include connected cameras and integrations?+

Only if they are expressly included in the agreed scope. External services may have their own processing and storage locations.
