What to do when the wrong driver is assigned

Investigate identity mismatches without losing the original history.

Confirm the affected period

Identify the vehicle, journey and time window. Check whether the issue affects only one event or a longer assignment. Ask your administrator which identification sources are enabled.

Check source evidence

Review the relevant card, token, app or integration record. Look for missing sign-outs, shared tokens or simultaneous assignments. Do not assume a vehicle’s default driver was driving every journey.

Request an audited correction

Give an authorised administrator the supporting evidence and reason. Preserve the original assignment and correction history. Confirm whether related events and reports need to be refreshed.

Prevent recurrence

Resolve unmapped identifiers, explain sign-in expectations to drivers and review recurring conflicts. Restrict manual corrections to trained users.

PUT IT INTO PRACTICE

Your action checklist

  • Vehicle and time window
  • Identity source
  • Correction reason
  • Affected reports

Product availability depends on your devices, integrations, permissions and enabled modules. Confirm your organisation’s configuration before implementation.
