Discover and prioritise
Build an inventory of vehicles, devices, SIMs, cameras and existing integrations. Record ownership and installation constraints. Choose a pilot group that reflects the fleet’s real operating conditions.
Define acceptance
Agree success criteria before installation: correct vehicle mapping, valid timestamps, accurate channel names, expected reporting and working user permissions. Include offline recovery and exception handling, not only a successful live demonstration.
Prepare people and processes
Nominate administrators, depot champions and escalation owners. Train each role on the tasks they will perform. Document who changes configuration and how changes are approved and traced.
Pilot, then scale
Review pilot defects and repeat failed checks after correction. Roll out in batches with enough support capacity to resolve issues. Keep a daily exception list until installation and data quality stabilise.
Handover and review
Transfer the asset inventory, configuration record, support contacts and unresolved issues to the operational owner. Review adoption after 30 days and close gaps before adding further functionality.
Your action checklist
- Vehicle and device inventory
- Pilot acceptance record
- Role-based training plan
- Operational handover checklist
Product availability depends on your devices, integrations, permissions and enabled modules. Confirm your organisation’s configuration before implementation.
