Record the installation
Capture vehicle registration, device identifiers, model, firmware where available, SIM reference and installation date. Keep credentials outside the handover document.
Validate signals and video
Confirm current position, ignition behaviour and expected sensor data. For cameras, verify channel names, orientation, timestamps and sample footage. Test recording and retrieval under realistic operating conditions.
Confirm configuration
Check reporting settings, audio policy, retention and enabled features against the approved design. Record any deviations and the owner of the correction.
Complete handover
Attach installation evidence and acceptance results, identify unresolved defects and confirm the support route. A device appearing online is only one part of commissioning; it does not prove all required functions work.
